He didnt earn the chances, Barber proved himself with his carries and outplayed JJ. Hell he isnt even earning them in Seattle now, Morris is getting his carries and using them well.

He did play well his first few years, I wont object to that. Hambrick sucked, Eddie George was done. Then it was Julius' turn. So the thousand yards don't concern me that much.

I've seen more from Choice and Felix this year than I did from Julius last year. Maybe he was just disgruntled, IDK.

Williams has only played three or four games w/ dallas. When they were both in the same system, Barber was the better back. The end.

Its the same way with a receiver. TO might catch 3-4 big passes to get them down there and they hand the ball to a back to punch it in.

Not sure that happened much at all. Parcells started using Barber on the goal line instead of Jones, and he isn't a man I question very often.

when did i say jj was better than barber? i didnt, i dont think he is, barber is a franchise RB

choice has 30 carries for 147 yards. i dont understand how you can say choice is better, there is nothing to back it up besides one long run today.

felix i may can agree with, 30 carries for 266 yards, which is like 9 yards per carry, but i think his impact is felt more on special teams.

and felix isnt a good inside runner either, i watched him his whole career at arkansas

Felix isn't a great inside runner, but he doesn't have to be. He's a great change of pace back to Barber's punishing style. He can run draw plays moderately well though.

I'm merely saying that I think Barber getting alot of the carries last year was justified by both of their play on the field.

I'm not saying Choice is a better back, because I don't believe he is. I'm just saying that he is showing more already this year than Julius did last year in dallas. Julius just played that horribly last year. His yards after first contact last year must have been miniscule, seems like all the opposing defenses had to do was blow on him and he fell down. Choice runs alot like Barber, runs alot tougher than his size dictates he should. But, in the few carries he has had this year, I think he has ran harder than Julius. Give him the same amount of carries, I believe his yards > than what Julius got.

All that being said, I wish Julius the best of luck. I would like nothing more than to seem him make the pro bowl and have a HOF career.

Now that I think about it, Julius isn't even the one who should be complaining about getting screwed. Thomas got it bad, being passed on for Benson. Shows Julius' character in comparison to his brother's i guess...

But....it's lookin like he might play in another superbowl so...

i agree 100% with the benson situation, but it did have chicago in a tough spot, paying benson all that money and he didnt even get to play.

what speaks volumes about thomas is the way his teammates take up for him. remember in chicago during the benson fiasco, the team made a HUGE fuss about TJ not staying and getting all the carries, he was a leader on that team.

with the nfl being such a "not for long" league, noone really gets screwed but with cap dollars and GM's spending money on high draft picks, certain things happen. I think it was a pretty mutual decision for JJ not to come back to Dallas. In Seattle, I wouldnt call his season a disaster by any stretch. That team hasnt been right since Steve Hutchinson left which infuriated Holmgren because the GM there didnt even try to resign him. The Chicago situation is alot like the San Diego situation. Benson was drafted just like Rivers was drafted. Brees hadnt produced at a real high level and TJ didnt really look like a great back at that point either. Chicago was looking for a 3 down back and with TJ's injury history, you could see what they were doing. Most teams do have 2 good backs anyway. Chicago missed the bus on that one but in the not for long league, Forte fell right into their lap a year later. It worked out even better for TJ because the Jets have a pretty good line with only Faneca getting up in years. Mangold and Ferguson should be around for years. TJ gets to play with a HOF QB who has always made his line and running back better. Ryan Grant, Edgar Bennett, Samkon Gado...all pretty much benefited from Favre. TJ is having the best season of his career and he got that new contract that he wanted when the Jets traded for him. It worked out pretty well for everyone.

I know this is a little off topic but someone above mentioned that hes a good interview. What hes saying is a good interview but he does say "you know" every sentence. I think his mother does too though.
